Scott Russell Granden, 36, of Missouri, was arrested on March 25, 2021, for sexual assault. He was sentenced to 21 months in prison by a federal judge on Tuesday.

Prosecutors claim Granden unlawfully touched the nurse aboard a Southwest Airlines trip in March 2021. Granden is accused of frequently stroking her legs, groin, and buttocks through her clothing without her permission.

Prosecutor further stated that Granden attempted to kiss the nurse at one point. "This was not an isolated instance," claimed an assistant US attorney, Erskine. "He simply kept going and going."

According to the sentencing memorandum, Granden began yelling filthy and homophobic racial obscenities at cops many times. He even pulled down his trousers and yelled 'Rape!' but the officers peacefully arrested him at Atlanta Airport.

APD investigators even got statements from the flight's nurse and another passenger. Granden's offenses are deemed federal because they were done aboard a plane, and he will not be eligible for parole.

Granden was charged with abusive sexual contact on an airplane and sentenced to one year and nine months in jail, followed by a year of supervised release. In addition, he is registered as a sex offender.

Granden was relocated to a different seat when a flight attendant reacted to her complaint about these instances. When the jet arrived in Atlanta, the airline company alerted the Atlanta Police Department about the attack, and Granden was detained.
